We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Part-Time Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The primary responsibilities for this role include managing Accounts Receivable, overseeing Collections, and maintaining effective Client Communication. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with integrity and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Process vendor invoices, expense reports, credit card statements in accounts payable system.
  • Track overdue client accounts and perform collection efforts via telephone, email or statements.
  • Process accounts receivable transactions.
  • Communicate with clients to resolve billing issues and answer inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client account records.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports related to accounts receivable and collections.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications and Education

  • Associate degree in Accounting or related field required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in internal accounting or a related position preferred.
  • Prior experience with Bill.com or Divvy preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial data.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.

Physical Demands

  • Required to sit for long periods of time.
  • Extensive computer, keyboard, and mouse use.
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
