At Boyum Barenscheer, our Client Accounting Services (CAS) department is dedicated to helping your business achieve financial clarity and operational efficiency. Controller Support Tasks:

  • Lead monthly financial review meetings to highlight the following financials items:
    • Discussion on large variances month over month and year over year
    • Comparison of actuals to budget** and projected year end based on actuals YTD and budget (if a budget is available)
    • Review any outstanding items and open issues (i.e. clean up projects for old AR & AP)
    • Report on any KPIs determined relevant by management (i.e. gross margin targets, days outstanding for AR)
  • Maintain a monthly cash flow forecast**
  • Support accounting team with any technical accounting questions on an as needed basis
  • Support audit prep, if applicable
  • Perform quarterly trend analysis on P&L

Consulting Projects:

  • Internal Control Reviews
  • Process analysis and/or documentation and update for implementing efficiencies where applicable
  • Perform interim controller duties
  • Training of new controller and/or accounting staff

Outsourced Accounting Services (CAS):

  • Monthly transaction accounting
  • Payroll processing
  • Sales tax filing
  • Balance sheet account reconciliations
