about matthew
Matthew began his career in the tax accounting in 2016, specializing initially in individual tax matters. Over the years, he has expanded his expertise to encompass small business and fiduciary tax. Prior to joining Boyum in 2023, Matthew spent nearly two years at a rural Minnesota tax firm, where he managed firm processes, reviewed business and fiduciary tax returns, and provided training to staff.
Matthew’s passion lies in applying his analytical skills to diverse client scenarios, offering clarity in the intricate world of taxes. He finds fulfillment in communicating with clients, bringing them understanding and peace of mind amid the complexities of the tax landscape.
Beyond the numbers, Matthew and his wife live in West St Paul. They take joy in hosting friends and family and, when not immersed in house projects, enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, camping, and canoeing with their dog. As winter and tax season roll around, ever the homebody, Matthew love cooking, reading fiction, watching NFL games, and delving into a game of chess.
