Summary

The Accounting Clerk focuses on managing accounts receivable, overseeing collections, and maintaining clear and professional client communication. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with accuracy, discretion, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Processes vendor invoices, expense reports, and credit card transactions in the accounts payable system, ensuring accurate and timely payment.
  • Monitors and follows-up on overdue client accounts, initiating collection efforts through phone calls, emails, and statements.
  • Records and reconciles accounts receivable transactions, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with company policies.
  • Communicates with clients to address billing inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and facilitate prompt payment.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of client accounts, payments, and outstanding balances.
  • Assists in preparing financial reports related to accounts receivable, collections, and aging summaries.
  • Works closely with the finance team to enhance processes, improve efficiency, and support overall financial operations.

Qualifications and Education

  • Associates degree in Accounting or related field required.
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
  • 1 – 2 years of experience in internal counting or related field required.
  • Prior experience with Bill.com or Divvy preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Physical Demands

  • Required to sit for long periods.
  • Extensive computer, keyboard, and mouse use.
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Salary Range: $20.00 – $25.00

The stated salary range reflects the compensation for this position at the time of posting. Final offers will be determined by the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and location.
